Michigan HOSA
State Officer
Candidate Information
Michigan HOSA State Officers are a critical component to the success of our organization. State officers help to plan and facilitate Michigan HOSA conferences. Serving as a state officer is a wonderful opportunity to work on a team of driven individuals all striving for the same goal; to serve our members and improve Michigan HOSA.
Any student member may run for state office regardless of grade level. Serving as an officer is not an overwhelming commitment. State officers are required to attend officer training (date and location to be announced). We will meet once during the summer. We will strive for a date that all officers can attend but it is not mandatory. State officers are asked to attend our fall HOSA conferences but again they are not mandatory. They must attend at least two of the eight regional leadership conferences. It is mandatory that officers arrive in Traverse City on the Tuesday preceding the state leadership conference and stay until the conference concludes.
State officers are not asked to attend the HOSA International Leadership Conference. Below is information about the process and campaign rules. If you have more questions about running for state office, please email hosa@mhc.org.
